Langdon Court House Wedding | Anna and Matt
Anna and Matt’s wedding at Langdon Court House in Devon, UK, was a beautifully English celebration in all its glory.
To kick things off, the weather gods turned it on like nobody’s business. With beautiful blue skies and a balmy top temperature of 30º, I could well have been shooting a wedding back home in Australia, rather than on the south coast of England! I could have, that is, if it weren’t for the spectacular 16th century manor house that was our venue for the day. Not too many of those bad boys where I come from!
The stunning Langdon Court House is hidden away off one of those typical English country lanes, surrounded by breathtaking gardens and perfectly-kept paths. The entire property oozes history and charm and it was the perfect place for Anna and Matt to get together with their favourite humans and say their “I do’s”.
The garden ceremony overlooking the lily pond was followed by a laid-back cocktail hour at the house’s main entrance as guests cooled off with the only drink that tells you that the great British summer has definitely arrived; an ice-cold Pimm’s. Between the festivities, Anna, Matt and I managed to sneak away to wander through the property’s beautiful surrounding gardens, as well as heading to the nearby Wembury Cove just in time to see the sun go down on a flawless afternoon in Devon.
Back at the manor, the smiles on Anna’s and Matt’s faces as they danced up a storm and soaked in the joy of their first night as a married couple were nothing short of priceless. May the music of that night ring out long and loud for the rest of their amazing lives together.
